What does it mean to create art that is in balance with nature? With ourselves? What is balance with our humanity?

1. Please describe the differences between the wallet I gave you& the one you had before. - Difference in design, materiality
The wallet I’ve got is like a mix of PU and fake leather, with chains and pockets. It’s pretty big, so I usually toss it in my bag. I also use this tough plastic card case for all my cards, which is awesome for traveling and can easily fit into smaller bags or my jacket pocket. The wallet you gave me is flexible and fits nicely in my jeans or leggings pocket. But, here’s the hitch - I can put it in the side pocket of my female jeans (not to be sexist, but female jeans suck with those Thumbelina pockets), but in the back pocket, it tends to slide out while I’m walking.
2. How long you’ve been carrying your usual wallet
I bought it before coming to the States, so, around a year now.
3. How many cards did you carry in the new wallet?
About 3, I like to space the cards out but in this case, I got only 2 pockets to split them.
4. Did you carry any cash? Change? Anything of note in the experience of carrying these items?
I put in a $20 bill, and nothing much happened to it, except I had to fold it in 3/4ths, whereas in the bigger wallet, I can keep it straight, or even with one fold. Additionally, I added an extra pair of earrings, rings, and a chain; the chain kept sliding everywhere, at one point it fell out of the wallet, and when kept in the front pocket, it slipped from the crook to the back pocket.
5. Was there anything of note that you usually carry that was unable to fit in the wallet?
I didn’t carry coins because I was worried they might slip out of the smaller pockets. I carry a lot of things in my wallet generally, some items being - dollar bills in ascending order, change, photos, driver’s license, etc. Couldn’t carry that many items, and when I did, it wasn’t closing. Also, I don’t like folding the dollar bills into 3/4ths.
6. Was there any point/activity where your attention to the wallet was heightened?
When a little hair serum fell on it while coloring my hair...Also when I was using the bathroom, it kinda slipped out of my back pocket on the floor.
7. Was there any advantage/ positive to carrying the new wallet I should be aware of?
yes, it’s good for when you are going out for a party and don’t want to carry too many things, just pop it in your pocket or jacket and move.
8. Is there any particular “abuse” you put the wallet through? How did it fare?
The heater at my place is on generally, and a lot of heat for leather is not good, but this went through heat, dust, hair
serum, sweat, keys, fumes of loreal hair color, and water. Since its real leather, the open ends are a little withered
because of the open and close, but the rest is perfect.
9. What, if any, design changes would you make to the wallet you have?
A slit with a zip for coins or smaller items, a few more slots for cards, and a small clip or button to close the wallet (this isn’t necessary but helpful).
10. Anything else you feel I should know?
The color of the leather turns darker after polishing. But polish helps because it makes the wallet waterproof.

1. Please describe the differences between the wallet I gave you & the one you had before. - Difference in design, materiality.
My old wallet was also a leather wallet but it was not as slim as this one. It’s a typical brown leather wallet. Not very flexible and had too many compartments. I like that this design is minimal and easily fits in my pocket.
2. How long you’ve been carrying your usual wallet
I have that wallet for a year now.
3. How many cards did you carry in the new wallet?
4. Did you carry any cash? Change? Anything of note in the experience of carrying these items?
I carried some cash and 7-8 cards in the new wallet. Organizing cards could be challenge if you have too many. It has only two compartments so hard to keep track of the cards. But on the other hand, it takes less space and is simpler.
5. Was there anything of note that you usually carry that was unable to fit in the wallet?
There wasn’t anything that I couldn’t fit into it. I only carry cards and some cash.
6. Was there any point/activity where your attention to the wallet was heightened?
The color is one reason that the wallet is more noticeable which is not a bad thing.
7. Was there any advantage/positive to carrying the new wallet I should be aware of?
The major advantage was the size, compactness and simplicity of the wallet.
8. Is there any particular “abuse” you put the wallet through? How did it fare?
I threw it multiple times, stretched it and walked over it but its sturdy enough to survive all the abuse that a wallet could go through.
9. What, if any, design changes would you make to the wallet you have?
I might add just one more compartment to sort the cards out. Makes it easier to not get confused when paying for tacos.
10. Anything else you feel I should know?
I am just interested in knowing if the mycelium thing would be as sturdy as this actual leather wallet or not. Apart from that, I have faith in this. Good luck!
