FabLabs' Chalk Catcher

The Massachusetts College of Art and Design's Digital Fabrication Laboratories, the FabLab for short, are spaces where innovation meets craft. When I was working as resident Industrial Designer, its director, Adam Zapotok, asked me to solve a particular problem -- to build something that would save his fancy, (comparatively) expensive chalk from breaking from the common occurrence of missing the chalk rack when putting the chalk back.
